AEV's 3.6L Fan Conversion Harness allows for the addition of the 2012+ Jeep 3.6L cooling fan in the 2007-11 Jeep Wrangler JK, with or without a HEMI V8. Older 3.8L JK fans are starting to wear out, which gradually decreases cooling performance without the user knowing it and can cause a heavy, modified JK to easily overheat in hot weather. In 2012, with the addition of the 3.6L Pentastar V6 engine, the fan output was nearly doubled due to the aluminum head design which essentially has the exhaust manifold built-in and cooled with engine coolant. Surprisingly, although it has a smaller displacement, the 3.6L Pentastar V6 engine has greater cooling requirements than a 6.4L Hemi V8! Adding the higher output, 3.6L cooling fan to any 2007-11 JK will eliminate the risk of experiencing detrimental cooling issues. Installation consists of a simple 3-wire hook up (positive, ground and a control wire to the TIPM) and programming the TIPM with AEV's JK ProCal Module (ProCal Module sold separately. AG revision level or higher is required - this designated by the last two digits of the part number). This product requires a JK ProCal Module (sold separately) with a revision level of AG or higher. The revision level is designated by the last two digits of the part number (ie: 30406007AG). 2007 and early 2008 models will require a 2009+ JK TIPM (part number 04692289AE/AF). When buying a new TIPM from the dealer, the dealer will need to configure the unit. If you purchase a used TIPM, this is typically not required.
