1) The stator must be removed for clearance prior to installing the ring gear.
Stator must be removed and reinstalled in the following order: (1) Ring Gear, (2) Stator Assembly, (3) Bearing.
2)Factory 3.73 gear equipped Ford Broncos/Rangers feature a welded ring gear/open differential and will require a replacement M220 Jeep JL ring & pinion to complete installation.
